Melissa said, "How we deal with other people, many times, can be informed by how we deal with ourself", so although some people look at "showing love to yourself" as selfish - it really isn't. The discussion talks about Guilt and Shame and we talk about how those are different things.

Adam shares that clients really lead how the sessions go, and they set the pace. The truth about therapy is that the therapist isn't the one doing the work - the client is the one doing the work. "You are the expert on you - I hope to look from different perspectives and help you organize thoughts - but the work happens on the client side."
