MARISSA FIKE
LPC-MHSP (temp)
Your decision to enter a counseling relationship is a courageous one and I’m so glad you are here! My approach is rooted in the belief that each individual possesses an innate capacity for healing and growth, and that there is power in the uniqueness of your life story. You are the indisputable expert on your life, and I view counseling as a collaborative process in which your expertise is an essential component. It is my goal to provide an empathetic, warm, and safe space for you to feel heard and empowered to live your life in a way that is personally meaningful to you. Utilizing a variety of modalities including Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, I have sat with individuals experiencing difficult life transitions, relationship struggles, anxiety, stress, depression, grief, addiction, emotional disturbance, disordered eating, OCD, and more.
I’m honored to have a role in bearing witness to your story and helping you discover your inner strengths as you navigate life’s challenges!
I graduated from Tennessee Tech with my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in the Summer of 2024. When I am not in the office, you can find me with my nose stuck in a book and with a cup of hot tea in-hand. As a full believer in the power of stories, I love to read and write! I also enjoy hand-blending my own herbal teas and supplying my friends and family with more bars of handmade soap than they could ever need. My husband and I enjoy spending time together outdoors and have recently taken up a passion for all things gardening and sustainability!
