LYDIA SCHULTZ
Counselor Intern
Hi, my name is Lydia Schultz, and my pronouns are she/her/hers.
I graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2024 with my bachelor's degree in psychology and am currently a graduate student in the master's program of clinical mental health at Tennessee Tech University. While we work together, my goal is to create a safe, warm, and inviting space where you feel truly seen and heard. I believe in a holistic approach that combines person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), with a focus on experiential therapies. This means our work together is all about you. Your goals, your experiences, and your needs.
I'm here to walk alongside you through any phase of life, whether you’re navigating grief, new beginnings, trauma, successes, or complex family dynamics. I want to create an environment where you can learn to explore your most authentic self, and through our work, learn how to apply the tools and insights we discuss in session to your daily life.
I will support you as you learn and grow. We can tailor our sessions to your comfort and needs, from traditional talk therapy to using art, play, or even taking a walk outside. I value providing every client with empathy, genuineness, and acceptance. I am dedicated to offering inclusive, accepting, and holistic care for all my clients.
I'm grateful to experience your journey alongside you!
