Mindfulness +Wellness

The ideas of wellness, self care, physical health, and mindfulness are hot topics right now in our culture. Everyone seems to be striving for an idea of wellness but what does that even mean? How do we care for our body, mind and soul? Are essential oils the answer? (spoiler alert- unfortunately, no although we do often use them!) There isn't one magical fix to living a well life, but many different changes that can be made. Wellness counseling focuses on identifying your individual needs, challenging perspectives, and changing behaviors to put you in the center of your own life. The idea of self care is a critical component to this approach to counseling, as well as addressing physical and emotional needs. What negative thinking patterns or beliefs hold you back from living well and caring for yourself? What habits need to be broken or built? Learning to be mindful and intentional with our actions, beliefs and perspectives can help us shift towards a better way of living with increased physical health and mental wellbeing.
